I think foreign people lives in Japan is so difficult. If the people might be able to speak Japanese, many cultures are so different. For example, in America tipping should be needed. But in Japan it is not.
So thinking about to rent apartment is also different foreign country to Japanese. Then I guess many people would be confused about how different the apartments would be different by payment of rent.
Then in this article, I will introduce the difference of good apartment and economic apartment in Japan.
1．What is the difference of good apartments and economic apartments
Basically, good apartments are expensive. But there are many advantages. On the other hand, economic apartments don't have such a advantage in usual.
Now what is the difference to rent Japanese apartment by payment?
1-1．How far from the station on foot
First of all, the difference is the distance from the apartment to the station. Especially in the big cities, such Tokyo, people use trains. Business man, students, kids would be use it.
Then the place near the station is useful. So the apartment that is near the station should be expensive. And far place from the station is economic.
In Tokyo the apartment is in ten minutes on foot is expensive. But if it is in over ten minutes, the payment would become cheep.
1-2．How old
Usually Japanese new apartment is expensive, and old apartmentis cheep. Even if by reformed old apartment, it is not the same level on the rent.
By the way, the building of apartment has some types of constructions. For example, wooden, steel, or concrete there are. And each constructions have another lifetime. Wooden construction is about 20 years. On the other hand, a kind of concrete construction is over 40 years.
So, if the building were same that are how old, depending on kinds of construction, the quality of building is different.
1-3．How popular the place
You know popular place is many people want to live. So the payment is expensive. However if it is not popular place, the payment would not be high.
For example, around main station in Tokyo, the rent would be expensive. But using train for 40 minutes, the rent would be cheep.
1-4．How about the equipment
Japanese housing equipment are so useful. However, all of equipment are not same level to use. Usually, by cost, there is difference of performance.
For example, thinking about intercom, high performance one is added camera. But economic intercom doesn't have camera.
And the difference of performance of equipment, should have big connection.
2．The problem of building
Next I will introduce about the problem of building. Actually, there are many problems of building. However, the problems can be 4 types.
2-1．Physical problem
Physical problems are almost by performance. For example, if the window might be closed, there would be draft.
2-2．Problem of low
Sometimes the apartment has regulation of low. For example, if there is a project to build road, the apartment has to be removed.
2-3．Environmental problem
Environmental problem is the problem around the apartment. If there were bigfactory, there might be noisy and bad smell.
2-4．Mental problem
Mental problem is feel bad factors. For example, if there was suicide in the past, you would feel bad.
3．Checking is the most important
When you go to real estate company to rent apartment, the staff will go to the apartment together. And you should see the apartment.
Usually people decide by seeing the apartment. But I recommend you seeing around the apartment, too.
