What is the difference "miso soup” and "miso ramen soup”?

The Japanese food variety is so much. Then I think there are many difficult and strange name menu. For example, I think "Oyakodon” is one of the most strange name dish. Because, oyako means parents and child. They are unrelated to meals, but the name is popular.
By the way, in Japanese menu, there is a soup called "miso soup”.
On the other hand, there is a noodles menu called "miso ramen”. And usually, the soup of miso ramen is called "miso ramen soup”.
Then, what is the difference "miso soup” and "miso ramen soup”?

First, the taste is completely different. Actually, both are based miso taste. However, the miso is different I guess. I heard that the restaurant master that the first miso ramen had made studied many miso and mixed them. Then miso might be special for miso ramen.
And basically miso ramen soup is a little hot and spicy. Then eating with noodles is so good. But only miso ramen soup is strong taste.
On the other hand, miso soup is not a strong taste. It is not hot or spicy. So eating with rice is good.

3-2.The smell

The smell is also different.
When going to miso ramen restaurant, sometimes you would realize that is main menu is miso ramen. The smell is not only miso, but sometimes it is also garlic. Depending on the ramen restaurant, you could recognize it outside of the miso ramen restaurant.
But, the  smell of miso soup is not so strong. Actually by cooking miso soup, you will realize that it is miso soup. But realizing it outside is very rare case.

The ingredients are also different. As mentioned above, the ingredients of miso ramen soup are chicken carcass, pig bones, ginger, spring garlic, etc.
But, miso soup's ingredients are bonito and kelp.


Anyway, I think you can understand that difference of miso ramen soup and miso soup. The ingredients are completely different, then taste and smell also different.
Perhaps you might recognize that miso ramen soup and miso soup are almost same soup, then put the noodles into the miso soup, you can't taste Japanese miso ramen.
