Japanese hotel 200 years ago : story
First of all, please image about 200 years ago. It is 1819. According to American history, in 1789, George Washington had gotten as first president. So, America was young country at that time. On the other hand, Japan was Edo period. You know there were Samurais.
In Edo period, it is so famous that many samurai were in Japan. But in fact, many farmer were almost Japanese various areas. And I think it was almost 90% the farmer were. The farmer were in rice firming. then many places were rice field.
Now in the agricultural places, there were farmer's houses. And the farmer's house were so different to today's Japanese house. In the farmer's house, there was a iroli that is fireside. And special bathroom. So the atmosphere was so original you have never seen.
But perhaps there are some move about old Japan zidaigeki, like Mitikomon. In Mitikomon, many firming area's seens there are. Please watch the contents Mitikomon, not only fighting seen, but how about agricultural areas were.
Anyway in Japan there were many farm, and they stay in nowadays.
By the way, recently Japanese old house have been used as another purpose. For example hotel. In the hotel, you can have a old Japanese atmosphere. And it is impossible that you have such a atmosphere in city hotel or business hotel.
Now in Japanese old house's hotel, you can have a special dish that is felt speciality. Perhaps in the hotel, there are no sushi maybe, but I think there are Nabe dish I guess like a chowder.
Sorry, if there are not sushi in the hotel, so please taste sushi in Tokyo or big city.
Anyway, in farmer's house hotel you can how a special atmosphere in old generation, in Edo period. And have a strange experience!
The hotel 200 years ago
Old house as hotel are opened recently. They were originally farmer's house school etc. However,I found the farmer's house hotel in Saitama prefecture that is easy to go from Tokyo. So you can go to the hotel easily I think.
Then the hotel has 200 years history. And the hotel has a another interesting point. The hotel's muster is sumo wrestler. So you might have a special Nabe called 'Chanko' that is usually sumo wrestler eat.
Unfortunately, Mitikomon or ninja were not in the hotel, I think, but you can have old Japanese time. So Enjoy!
