Okonomiyaki and okonomi sauce : story
I think there are many combination food in staple and side dish. For example in America, hamburger and sandwich. They are the combination bread and something. In Japan, there are the combination like them. Katsudon, oyakodon, gyudon are typical example I think.
Then in Japan, there is a bit different combination food, Okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki is famous food in foreigner. I sometimes find okonomiyaki's articles in internet. It should be a one of evidence okonomiyaki is famous.
By the way, do you know sauce of okonomiyaki is a little special? So the sauce that purpose with okonomiyaki is a little different to general worcester sauce. So, there is a recommended sauce as okonomiyaki's sauce. It is called Okonomi sauce.
And then, what different is in Okonomi sauce? Usually, the difference are sweetness and stickiness. Okonomi sauce is a little sweet and sticky. Then why the okonomi sauce is sticky? Anyway, the sauce for okonomiyaki is a different from general Worcester sauce. Actually,you can eat with general Worcester sauce, but I recommend you to use Okonomi sauce.
